Mr. Hakkak has served as co-portfolio manager and Investment Committee member of White Oak since 2007. Mr. Hakkak was previously the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Alpine Global, Inc., a multi-strategy investment management firm which focused on alternative fixed income and real estate investments. Mr. Hakkak was also the Founder and Portfolio Manager at Suisse Global Investments, an investment management firm that developed investment strategies customized to meet the risk-adjusted return requirements of bank and insurance clients in over 30 countries. He previously served at Robertson Stephens & Co. as an Investment Banker and Principal in its Investment Company Act platform. Mr. Hakkak has been a co-founder and board member of several institutional platforms that facilitate the distribution of structured investment products, and has served as a limited partner, general partner or board member of various investment funds and companies. Mr. Hakkak received a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and has held Series 7, 63, and 24 designations from FINRA since 1991.
Ms. McKee has served as co-portfolio manager and Investment Committee member of White Oak since 2007. Previously Ms. McKee was a member of the team that founded KKR Financial LLC, where she served as Senior Vice President and concurrently as General Counsel of KKR Financial Corp. (NYSE: KFN), and played a key role in structuring and implementing debt investments. Prior to KFN, Ms. McKee served as Senior Counsel and a senior member of the Securities and Investment Group at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., which structured and implemented the debt investment platform for the Bank’s proprietary capital and investment accounts. She was previously with Deutsche Bank AG in both New York and Frankfurt as Acting Deputy General Counsel for the finance and derivatives departments; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York and Tokyo as a structured finance and bankruptcy attorney; and Sidley Austin as a finance, bankruptcy and distressed asset attorney. Ms. McKee holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Comparative Literature from Yale University. Ms. McKee is a member of both the California Bar and the New York State Bar.
Mr. Mozaffarian joined White Oak in May 2008, became Partner in 2010, joined the Investment Committee in 2014 and currently serves as President. His primary responsibility is to oversee the investment teams that are responsible for originating and structuring new transaction opportunities for White Oak’s private debt funds. Prior to becoming Co-President, he was Head of Originations from 2010 to 2017. Previously, Mr. Mozaffarian served at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the leveraged finance group of the investment banking division, where he worked on a myriad of sponsor and management buyouts, in- and out-of-court corporate restructurings, and rescue financings within the leveraged loan and high-yield bond market; at Telephia, Inc. (a division of Nielsen), where he consulted and advised national wireless operators on their product suite and positioning within the competitive landscape; and at Microsoft Corporation where he held a new business development role looking at acquisition targets, joint venture partnerships and licensing agreements. He received an MBA from the Haas School of Business and both a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. While at Berkeley, he rowed on the Men’s Heavyweight Crew team from 1995-1996. Mr. Mozaffarian is currently a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Turnaround Management Association, as well as Series 7 and 63 designations from FINRA.
Mr. Hackett is a Partner and Head of Underwriting for White Oak, with primary responsibility for structuring and underwriting new investments. He joined White Oak in January 2008, and has been a member of the Investment Committee since June 2011. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Hackett served as Portfolio Co-Manager at North Point Investors, a real estate investment company investing in public real estate securities; as an Associate at Alpine Global, Inc., where he researched and recommended buy/sell opportunities; and as a Director at Redler Group, Ltd., a Geneva-based family office offering financial advisory services, where he was part of the portfolio management team. Mr. Hackett received a B.S. in Finance from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
Mr. Ruth serves as Chief Lending Officer of White Oak Global Advisors. He has 36 years of expertise and success in the areas of debt and equity investing, financial restructuring and risk management. In addition, he has served on the boards of both traded and privately held companies. Prior to joining White Oak, he was Chief Investment Officer for Abu Dhabi based Mubadala GE Capital PJSC (MGEC), a joint venture formed between GE Capital and the Abu Dhabi Government. MGEC’s portfolio reached $6 billion with substantial investments in the healthcare, power, commercial real estate and mid-market leverage finance sectors in the Middle East, Europe and North America. Mr. Ruth chaired the Investment, Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Committees. Mr. Ruth held a number of senior positions with GE Capital in North America and Europe, including President, Grupo Financiero GE Capital Mexico, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Asset Management for GE Capital Fleet Services (then the world’s largest lessor of car and light truck fleets) and for GE Capital, Capital Solutions Europe; a company focused on asset based lending and leasing with a $23 billion portfolio across 14 European countries. Prior to joining GE Capital, Mr. Ruth served Bank of America and over the course of 10 years held senior positions in the North American Corporate Banking Division. Mr. Ruth holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from Colorado College.
Ms. George is the Head of Asset Management and a member of the Investment Committee at White Oak Global Advisors. Ms. George has broad experience in both asset based, cash flow lending and restructuring non-performing loans for the past 30 years. Prior to joining White Oak, Ms. George was employed by the private credit firm, Garrison Investment for 12 years where she served as Head of Corporate Asset Management, and was a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to that, Ms. George was employed at The CIT Group, Inc. for over 20 years, where she held various leadership roles in Credit Restructuring, Underwriting, COO for CIT Business Credit and served as a member of the Investment Committee. Early in her career at CIT, Ms. George held functional roles in loan portfolio management and performing field examination/due diligence. She has served on the Board of Directors for 8 companies in Logistics, Manufacturing, and the Energy sectors. Ms. George graduated with a B.S. in
Accounting from Manhattan College.
Mr. Felix has served as Managing Director of White Oak since 2017. Mr. Felix has been actively investing in middle market companies for over 20 years. Most recently, he founded Consortium Finance in 2013 where he invested across the capital structure of middle market businesses. Prior to his role at Consortium Finance, Mr. Felix worked at D. E. Shaw Group where he opened the San Francisco office in 2005. At D. E. Shaw, Mr. Felix was responsible for originating and managing a portfolio of direct senior debt, junior debt and equity investments across a variety of industries. He was previously a managing principal of Banc of America Mezzanine Capital LLC, where he was responsible for underwriting structured senior debt, mezzanine debt, and bridge financing across a variety of industry sectors. Additionally, Mr. Felix was a former leader of Banc of America Securities, Inc.’s debt origination efforts in Australasia. Mr. Felix holds a B.A. degree in political science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Mr. Beatty serves as White Oak’s General Counsel. In this role, he is responsible for providing legal services and advice to White Oak’s executive officers and employees throughout the organization. Mr. Beatty has over 19 years of experience dealing with corporate and securities law and compliance matters. Immediately prior to joining White Oak, he held the position of Deputy Chief Compliance Officer for a private equity fund in New York; prior to that, he worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC for over 11 years. Mr. Beatty began his legal career as a corporate and securities associate attorney at Baker & McKenzie. In these positions, he provided in-depth legal analysis for private funds, developed robust compliance policies and policies for registered investment advisers and broker-dealers, fulfilled regulatory reporting requirements, and advised on SEC enforcement actions and complex corporate transactions. He holds a J.D. from Brigham Young University Law School (BYU), Master of Arts, Kennedy Center for International Studies (BYU), and a Bachelor of Arts, International Relations (BYU).
Mr. Jacobs serves as White Oak’s Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, he is responsible for White Oak’s compliance program. Mr. Jacobs has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, including 11 years of experience dealing with compliance matters. Immediately prior to joining White Oak, he was a Director at ACA Compliance Group. At ACA, he oversaw the Communications Surveillance Department and provided regulatory compliance advice to investment advisers and broker-dealers. Prior to joining ACA, he held other compliance and supervisory positions, including roles as a FINRA General Securities Sales Supervisor and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. Additionally, he is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). He holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Snyder serves White Oak as Chief Accounting Officer & Head of Finance. Mr. Snyder has over 28 years of experience in finance and accounting, and formerly served as Vice President at Citi Hedge Fund Services, where he managed fund administration for a variety of private equity investment funds. Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. Snyder served as Managing Director and Controller of GSC Group, Inc., an alternative investments manager with a wide range of investment strategies and vehicles including, equity and distressed debt and mezzanine lending private equity, CDO and CLO, REIT, BDC and hedge funds; and as the Controller of AJV Computerized Data Management, Inc., a tax software manufacturer. Mr. Snyder holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Rider University, New Jersey and is a licensed CPA.
Ms. Altieri serves White Oak as Chief Operating Officer, with primary responsibility for the firm’s Technology and Operations. She was previously Founder and President of J.P. Mitchell & Company, a boutique consulting firm serving Fortune 50 Financial Services and Top 100 Financial Technology and Services firms. She has also served as a Principal in the Financial Services Practice at Ernst & Young, where she managed large-scale technology initiatives and operations strategy for Fortune 50 clients, and as a Manager of Investment Technology and Operations at American International Group. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and Computer Science from University of Dayton.
Mr. Ressa serves White Oak Credit Services as Chief Financial Manager. He has over 28 years of experience in audit, accounting, treasury and finance working at commercial and consumer finance companies and a big four public accounting firm. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Ressa served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Synchrony, a $82 billion publicly traded consumer finance company (NYSE: SYF) and largest private label credit card provider in the U.S. Prior to Synchrony, he held several senior finance positions at GE Capital, most recently serving as CFO of GE Fleet Services, then the largest North American lessor and servicer of car and light fleet trucks. Mr. Ressa holds a M.B.A in Finance from Fordham University and a B.B.A in Accounting from Pace University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a licensed CPA.
Mr. Finnigan serves White Oak as Head of Complex Credits with primary responsibility for managing complex situations and credits for White Oak’s private debt funds. He previously served at McNamee Lawrence & Company, a boutique investment bank. Mr. Finnigan received a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth.
Mr. Ahrens serves White Oak as Managing Director of Client Solutions, responsible for new business development. He previously served Southfield Capital, where he was responsible for marketing their SBIC mezzanine fund, and FrontPoint Partners (Morgan Stanley), where he was responsible for marketing and communications of the direct lending strategy. He has developed marketing and communications strategies for Fortune 500 companies, and served at global advertising agencies including Lowe Worldwide, McKinney & Silver and TBWA\Chiat Day. Mr. Ahrens holds a B.A. in Business Management from Gettysburg College.
Mr. Moll serves White Oak as Managing Director of Client Solutions. He has approximately 20 years of asset management experience and has held senior positions in product specialization and capital placements at PIMCO, KKR, Vector Capital, Hewitt and Morgan Creek Capital Management. Mr. Moll holds an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper Business School where graduated with Distinction, and a B.A., summa cum laude, in Chemistry from Gettysburg College, where he was a Presidential Scholar and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Moll has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Ms. Schallock serves White Oak as Managing Director of Client Solutions, responsible for new business development and client servicing. Prior to joining White Oak, she was Director of Business Development for Metacapital Management. Prior to Metacapital, she was responsible for business development at Force Capital. Ms. Schallock holds a B.A. in Economics and History of Art from Bryn Mawr College, where she graduated cum laude.
Mr. Albert joins White Oak Global Advisors as a Managing Director, and is primarily responsible for new business development. He has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry and held prior positions with Aware Asset Management, BMO Global Asset Management, and Oppenheimer Funds. He was responsible for developing relationships and new business. Mike also held positions at RBC Global Asset Management in institutional sales and as a senior corporate credit analyst/trader. His previous experience also includes structuring leveraged buyouts. In addition, Mike has also served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and is currently a Lieutenant Colonel at the 934th Airlift Wing of the U.S. Air Force Reserves in Minneapolis. Mike earned a BS in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Iowa.
Ms. Cutter serves White Oak as Managing Director, Head of ESG & Impact with primary responsibility over White Oak’s ESG product platform. Ms. Cutter has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry and most recently worked as a Consultant at Verus Investments, a $330 billion investment consulting company advising pension funds and institutional investors in their allocations to managers. Ms. Cutter also served as an Investment Officer at California State Teachers’ Retirement System where she built out and co-managed CalSTRS’ $9 billion external manager program focusing on a broad variety of credit markets including bank loans, high yield and opportunistic credits. Her expertise is in credit, asset allocation, risk management, investment management, investment policy development, and ESG & Impact investing on behalf of family offices, foundations and large public fund clients. She holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of California at Davis.
Mr. Kalmanowicz serves White Oak as Managing Director of Client Solutions, responsible for investor relations and new business development. He previously served as Senior Vice President at Campbell Lutyens, focusing on advisory, execution and project management for Private Equity and Private Credit fundraisings. Prior to joining Campbell Lutyens in 2014, Mr. Kalmanowicz was a Business Consultant at Deloitte. He received a B.S. in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA designations. Mr. Kalmanowicz is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and fluent in English and German.
Ms. Rha joins White Oak as Compliance Director & Senior Counsel, responsible for managing compliance out of the San Francisco office. She previously served as a Compliance Officer at Brookfield Asset Management, supporting compliance functions for all of their global offices. Prior to Brookfield, Ms. Rha worked as a contract attorney focusing on SEC investigations and FINRA compliance matters in New York City. Ms. Rha holds a J.D. from the University of California at Hastings and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley. She is licensed to practice law in New York.
Ms. Hart serves White Oak as Global Head of Human Resources and is responsible for managing the firm’s global human resources team, overseeing benefits, recruitment, relocation, compensation, policies, practices and payroll strategies. She has over 20 years of human resources and finance experience within different industries. Most recently, she was HR Manager for Alta Vista Solutions, a Bay Area engineering consulting firm. Prior to this, she spent 16 years with Hall Capital Partners, LLC as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration. Ms. Hart holds a B.A. in Management from Golden Gate University and has been awarded the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the HR Certification Institute.
Ms. Young is a Director on the White Oak Investor Relations team. Prior to joining White Oak, she was a Senior Analyst at Wilshire Associates, where she focused on investment manager relations and operations. Ms. Young holds a B.A. in Economics/Mathematics from University of California, Santa Barbara, where she graduated with Honors.
Mr. Pierce serves White Oak as Head of Risk Management. He was previously a Partner and Head of Professional Services at Fascet, LLC, a software and consulting firm serving the investment management industry. He started his career in research sales focusing on derivative strategies for Susquehanna International Group. Mr. Pierce received his B.A. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
Mr. Otte serves as Head of White Oak ABL and White Oak Europe, and is responsible for originating and structuring ABL opportunities with potential borrowers. He previously served as Senior Advisor and Region Manager of Presidential Financial Corporation; Founder and Managing Partner of TKO Finance Group, LLC; Managing Director of Special Situations Lending, Dune Capital Management LP; and President and Chief Operating Officer of Middle Market Lending, GE Capital. He holds an M.B.A. from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and a B.A. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana. Mr. Otte has also been an active board member and advisor to several entities, including GE Capital Mexico and GE Capital SE Asia, as well as to companies in the healthcare and telecom sectors.
Mr. Mokhtar serves White Oak ABL as Chief Financial Officer. He has over 20 years of experience in audit, tax, accounting and finance working at both a big four public accounting firm and private asset management companies. He formerly served as senior controller at PennantPark, a publically traded Business Development Company. Prior to joining PennantPark, he served as senior controller of Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management, an investment advisor with debt vehicles including, CLO, hedge funds and managed accounts. Prior to joining Nomura, he served as Partner and CFO of CARE Advisers LLC, a hedge fund of funds. Mr. Mokhtar is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant who holds a B.S. degree in Accounting & Information Systems and Economics from the City University of Queens College. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Griffith serves White Oak ABL as a Managing Director. Prior to joining White Oak ABL, he spent over 12 years with GE Capital. He was most recently an Officer of GE Japan, where he was Senior Managing Director of GE Capital’s Structured Finance business (leading both the Sponsor Finance and Asset Based Lending teams). During his career at GE Capital, he held both sales and credit roles, originally starting at GE Capital headquarters in CT, in 2000, as a Risk Manager. He has also led originations on the west coast for asset based lender Encina Business Credit, as Senior Managing Director, and prior to Encina he established an asset based lending business for Hana Financial Inc. in Los Angeles.
Prior to GE, Clark spent nearly 10 years in the real estate industry, working for both American and Japanese real estate firms, including Prudential CA Realty in San Diego and Sotetsu Real Estate Co., Ltd in Yokohama, Japan (subsidiary at Sagami Railway Co). Mr. Griffith earned his Master’s Degree in International Affairs, from Columbia University, where he concentrated in International Finance and Banking, as well as an Advanced Certificate from Columbia University’s Weatherhead East Asian Institute (specializing in China, Japan, and Korea). He received his undergraduate degree in Economics, with a Minor in Japanese, from San Diego State University.
Isaac Soleimani serves White Oak as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, White Oak Healthcare Finance, with primary responsibility for building a full service middle market healthcare lending platform. He was previously the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Healthcare Finance Group, LLC. (HFG), a nationwide specialized healthcare lender, which Mr. Soleimani sold to a publicly traded company. Prior to HFG, he was a Senior Vice President at Daiwa Securities America Inc. where he headed the firm’s healthcare finance business, which he later acquired in a management buyout transaction through HFG. Mr. Soleimani has over 26 years of experience in healthcare finance, beginning in the 1980’s while he was an Investment Manager at Prudential Capital Group. Prior to his involvement with healthcare financing, Mr. Soleimani originated, structured and managed various types of asset-backed and general corporate financing transactions at Prudential. Mr. Soleimani holds an M.B.A in Finance and Marketing from Indiana University and a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from University of Connecticut.
Mr. Dufour serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of White Oak Healthcare Finance, with primary responsibility for leading healthcare team members in the seamless execution of all aspects of underwriting and portfolio management. He previously served Wells Fargo Capital Finances’ Healthcare Team, with primary responsibility for leading the expansion and growth of its national healthcare footprint and leading the operationalization of its 1st line credit risk underwriting and portfolio management operations. In addition, Mr. Dufour spent over 14 years at GE Capital’s Healthcare Financial Services in progressive leadership roles for portfolio management, underwriting and collateral examination, culminating in leading the credit risk management for the nationwide healthcare ABL and ABL stretch loan product footprint. His healthcare credit risk management and operational experience span all healthcare sectors and traditional healthcare loan products, with particular expertise in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Mr. Dufour received an M.B.A. from St. Bonaventure University. He has held certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Practical Nurse. Mr. Dufour is a retired Major from the U.S. Army Reserve, Medical Services Corps.
Mr. Eldridge is a Partner at White Oak Healthcare Finance serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Originations Officer with primary responsibility for leading all healthcare origination and capital markets activity as well as managing the team. Mr. Eldridge has been focused on healthcare since 2004 and has originated, structured, and executed over $30 billion in deal proceeds during his career and has invested across the capital structure in all subsectors of healthcare. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Eldridge led healthcare sponsor coverage for RBS Citizens (now NYSE: CFG). He previously served in the healthcare corporate finance and healthcare real estate groups at GE Capital’s Healthcare Financial Services and in the leveraged finance group of the investment bank at Banc of America Securities. Mr. Eldridge received an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia and a B.A. in Economics from Furman University. Mr. Eldridge is a dual citizen of the US and Brazil.
Mr. Reilly serves White Oak as Executive Vice President and Head of Real Estate Debt Finance with primary responsibility supporting the expansion of White Oak’s healthcare real estate investing including underwriting and portfolio management. Previously, Mr. Reilly served Capital One Healthcare Financial Services as a Senior Vice President, where he led a team responsible for the underwriting and portfolio management of healthcare real estate deals. Prior to Capital One, he spent 13 years with GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services and previously with the Corporate Audit Staff and Financial Management Program. Mr. Reilly’s experience includes the structuring, underwriting and closing of over $10 billion in financings in key healthcare real estate segments, focusing on skilled nursing, seniors housing and medical properties. His credit risk expertise spreads across various loan products including first mortgages, subordinate debt, asset-based lending and leveraged term loans. Mr. Reilly holds a BSBA in Finance from Xavier University.
Ms. Lersner is the Chief Financial Officer of White Oak Healthcare Finance. She has over 25 years of commercial lending experience in the areas of general, financial and operational management for growing companies. Ms. Lersner previously held the role of CEO of Advantage Funding, a specialty lender and Macquarie portfolio company. Prior to this role, Ms. Lersner held the role of Chief Financial Officer of CapitalSpring, a $1 billion AUM full stack capital provider with both a specialty finance and asset management platform. Prior to these roles Ms. Lersner was the CFO of R4 Technologies, a tech company focused in the dynamic data/AI space (founded by the founders of Priceline.com and President and COO of Golden Eagle, a specialty finance company owned by Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC). She began her career in the commercial finance divisions of Citicorp North America and Chrysler Capital. Ms. Lersner received credit training through Moody’s Commercial Lending Program and holds a BS from the University of Utah.
Prior to joining White Oak MOB REIT as President and Chief Investment Officer, Dr. Lynn was Chairman, CEO and founder of Everest Healthcare Properties, LLC where managed the overall firm’s activities including investment strategy, sourcing, research, acquisitions, underwriting, equity and debt financing, portfolio management, leasing, repositioning/value-add activities and financial reporting. He built the AUM to $300 million on institutional quality medical buildings in eleven states, achieved well-above benchmark returns and sold the firm to a major multinational public corporation. Prior to founding Everest, Lynn was Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Strategist and Chief Economist at Cole Investments, CCPT III, Cole Net Lease REIT II, Cole Net Lease III and Cole Office & Industrial REIT. He managed the firm’s $12 billion dollar investments including acquisitions and portfolio management. Dr. Lynn was a Partner and Managing Director at ING Clarion Partners, where he was Head of Investment Strategy and Research, leading the firm’s strategic and tactical investment decisions. He advised on the Lion Properties Fund, the Lion Industrial Trust, Gables REIT, The Lion Development Fund, and separate accounts. He served on the Investment Committee, Operating Committee and the Global Asset Allocation Committee. ING Clarion became a top-quartile performer under Dr. Lynn’s leadership. Prior to ING Clarion, Lynn was Head of Strategy for AIG Global Real Estate, where he led real estate investment strategy around the world. He ran multifamily development for AvalonBay in Northern California, where he developed multifamily apartment communities. He was Head of Regional Investments for the Keppel Corporation where he acquired, developed and managed multi-family housing, office buildings, medical buildings, mixed-use and retail in Asia and the U.K. Dr. Lynn was a national development manager with the Target Corporation, developing retail around the US, responsible for all phases of development and achieving numerous company awards for excellence. Dr. Lynn was a Professor of Professional Practice at the WP Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, awarded the Counselor of Real Estate designation, named Sloan Fellow by the MIT Sloan School of Business, named a Homer Hoyt Fellow, and a recipient of many awards including, most recently, “Best Equity Deal of 2019” awarded by Real Estate Finance and Investment. He is the author of six highly-acclaimed investment and real estate books used by the industry and universities around the world, and numerous articles. He was the former editor of Real Estate Issues.

Mr. Gould is a Managing Principal for White Oak Healthcare Partners, LLC, with primary responsibility for building White Oak’s new HUD platform to provide government-insured permanent financing for the seniors housing and long term care sectors. He joined White Oak in 2020 and brings 15+ years of experience in building a sector-leading HUD lending platform at his previous employer. He played a key role in driving HUD originations resulting in industry-leading volume in the program over a 10-year period, overseeing the development and expansion of the Northeastern U.S. region. Mr. Gould received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business administration from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Dopoulos is a Managing Principal for White Oak Healthcare Partners, LLC, with primary responsibility for building White Oak’s originations and HUD/Agency platform to provide permanent financing for the seniors housing and long-term care sectors. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Dopoulos served as Senior Managing Director at Lancaster Pollard where he managed the firm’s West Coast office for over a decade. He served as chair of the National Investment Center (NIC) Future Leaders Council and remains active working with NIC on its educational content and seminars. Mr. Dopoulos holds a master’s degree in business from the Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University and a master’s in health administration from The Ohio State University College of Public Health. He holds Series 7, 24, 50, 52 and 63 licenses.
Mr. Chan serves White Oak as Managing Director, White Oak Trade Finance with overall responsibility for the business. Prior to White Oak Trade Finance, Mr. Chan served as Senior Trader with the Noble Group and MET Commodities, Portfolio Manager with Cheyne Capital Management Structured Finance Group, Associate with BlackRock and Analyst with Nomura Securities Securitization and Asset Finance. Mr. Chan received a BSc (hons) Biochemistry from Royal Holloway College, University of London and an MSc International Management from Kings College, University of London.
Mr. Genise is the Chairman and Manager of White Oak Aviation. He has over 35 years of experience in International Aircraft Leasing, Engine Leasing and Trading Business. Prior to joining White Oak, he was CEO of Aergen Management Services, Inc. from 2015 until 2019. Aergen Management Services was an international aircraft leasing, engine leasing, and trading business, specializing in providing leasing and management services for mid-life (10-15 years) narrow body aircraft and engines.
Previously, Mr. Genise served as CEO of DAE Capital, the aircraft leasing division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, he was a founder, President and CEO of Boullioun Aviation Services, building it into one of the world’s top leasing businesses. He was originally its SVP of Marketing, responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan and business development. He also represented Boullioun Aviation Services in its development of Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise, a joint venture with Singapore Airlines, and served as a Director for 10 years.
Prior to that, Mr. Genise served as SVP of the Chemical Business Credit Corporation at Chemical Bank, managing asset based finance and leasing business in credit, marketing and administration capabilities. In 1985, he served as Managing Director for the bank’s Special Finance Group with responsibility for Chemical Bank’s international aviation banking and leasing business.
Mr. Genise is currently on the Board of Directors for Frontier Airlines, Aloft Aero Architects, Inc. and Dimensional Mechanics. Mr. Genise is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Museum of Flight in Seattle and now Chairman Emeritus. Additionally, Mr. Genise is a member of the Advisory Board of the Albers School of Business at Seattle University.
Mr. Genise holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut, a law degree from Pace University, and a BA from NYU.
Mr. Franco is Managing Director of White Oak Aviation. Mr. Franco has over 25 years, working with Sikorsky Aircraft, GE Capital Aviation Services, Gulfstream Aerospace and Guggenheim Partners in aircraft design and the aircraft finance arena. Mr. Franco was the creator of two corporate aircraft leasing companies, Guggenheim aero Finance and Global Jet Capital. Guggenheim aero was groundbreaking as it was the first private equity capital invested into corporate aircraft lending company. Mr. Franco possesses a strong credit analysis background and has negotiated aircraft debt lines of more than $1.5 billion. Mr. Franco, has structured over $4.0 billion in aircraft and engine transactions globally, negotiating transactions with clients such as the US and foreign governments, global airlines, international corporations and high net worth individuals. Mr. Franco has excellent relations with the aircraft OEMs, an in-depth knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul market. Mr. Franco holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Sciences from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an M.B.A from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Mr. Byrnes is the Chief Financial Officer of White Oak Aviation. He has over 19 years’ experience in Accounting and Aircraft Leasing. Prior to joining White Oak Aviation, Mr. Byrnes spent three years as the Chief Financial Officer of Aergen, an aircraft leasing business, where between 2016-2019 they built a fleet of 30+ aircraft, executed two ABS transactions and ultimately led the sale of the business operations in 2019. Prior to this, Mr. Byrnes was the Head of Finance of Avolon, now the third largest global leasing company, for five years where he was responsible for all areas of the finance function. Having worked for the company since inception, Mr. Byrnes led the Finance team through the initial scaling of the business, through multiple corporate transactions including IPO on the NYSE, and its eventual delisting and trade sale to the Chinese HNA group in 2016. Prior to joining Avolon, Greg worked at BDO Chartered Accountants from 2001 to 2011, where he headed up their outsourcing division after spending eight years in the audit department where he held the position of Audit Senior Manager. Greg has a Bachelor of Economics from University College Dublin and a Post Graduate diploma in Accounting from Dublin City University. He is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland where he also obtained a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards. Most recently, Greg obtained an Executive MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, graduating in 2015.
Mr. Grbic is the President & CEO of White Oak Commercial Finance. Mr. Grbic has more than 30 years of commercial lending experience. He has been with the company and its predecessor since 2005, previously serving as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer where he was involved in creating a hands-on, best-practices credit culture, as well as helping the Company expand its client portfolio. Before that, Mr. Grbic was Managing Director at Morris Anderson & Associates LTD, a turnaround-consulting firm. He also co-founded MetSource Capital, LLC, a restructuring and corporate finance firm, working primarily with small- and medium-sized companies. In addition, Mr. Grbic has also served at GMAC Commercial Credit, LLC, BNY Financial Corp and Bankers Trust. Mr. Grbic is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research. He has served as an instructor for the Finance, Tax and Law Department at the NYU School of Continuing Education. Mr. Grbic holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration from Pace University.
Mr. Fortino serves White Oak Commercial Finance as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer, responsible for managing the company’s finance, accounting, operations, information technology and human resources departments. Prior to joining WOCF, he was Chief Financial Officer of Levenger Company, a specialty retailer and provider of leather goods and fine office supplies. Mr. Fortino has more than two decades of C-level experience in retail and media. He holds both an M.B.A. and B.B.A in accounting from Temple University.
Mr. Dean serves White Oak Commercial Finance as Managing Director of Risk Management for ABL and Factoring. He is a 38+ year veteran of the ABL/commercial finance industry, having served in Credit, Underwriting and Origination in various senior management positions, helping clients, financial sponsors, junior debt providers and other intermediaries identify and deliver capital solutions. He brings significant experience in asset based lending and equipment finance/term lending among other financial products and solutions. Prior to coming out of retirement to join White Oak, Mr.Dean served as SVP at Wells Fargo Capital Finance, managing the ABL originations team in the Southeast region focused on the lower middle market. Mr. Dean holds a B.S. in Accounting from Susquehanna University. Over the years he has been an active member of the CFA, the ACG and the TMA, having served six years on the TMA Carolinas board of directors.
Andy McGhee serves White Oak Commercial Finance as Vice Chairman and leads its Lender Finance vertical while assisting with the growth of the broader ABL initiatives for the firm. Most recently, Andy was the President and CEO of AloStar Capital Finance, which he co-founded in 2011. AloStar was a De Novo Bank and which was created through the acquisition of the assets of a failed bank located in Birmingham Alabama. AloStar’s two founding partners and four private equity firms backed the company with an initial capital raise of $160 million. The company was formed to specifically focus on middle market companies with capital needs between $5 million and $50 million. AloStar was sold to State Bank in September of 2017 which was subsequently sold to Cadence Bank in 2019. AloStar committed in excess of $3 billion to over 200 clients from 2011 through 2019. The company had a national focus and was diversified from an individual client, industry and geographic perspective. Yields and charge-offs both out-performed the expectations of the original business plan. AloStar became known as one of the most reliable and creative lenders in the middle market. McGhee’s experience includes corporate strategy, raising Private Capital, Leveraged Finance, Asset Based Lending, Private Equity, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets transactions and Mezzanine finance. Prior to AloStar, McGhee was the co-founder of Archway Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based private equity firm. Before Archway Equity Partners, he spent 12 years with SunTrust Banks Inc., eventually serving as senior vice president. McGhee joined SunTrust in 1996 to create the Leveraged Finance Group. In addition to those responsibilities, he served on the Board of SunTrust Equity Partners, the Junior Capital vehicle for SunTrust, and was responsible for three other business units including the Specialty Lending Group, the Private Equity and Asset Based Groups as well as a senior level position at Trusco Capital Management. In these positions he gained experience in establishing policies and procedures for new business, attracting industry veterans and high-caliber professionals to the company, and reducing problem assets while quickly growing revenues within the various business units. Having held leadership positions at Citicorp, Bank South, and Bank of America Business Credit, Mr. McGhee brings a diverse level of experience.
Currently, Mr. McGhee serves on the Terry College of Business Alumni Board at the University of Georgia. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Piedmont Hospital of Atlanta. Mr. McGhee serves on the SFNet Board of Directors and previously served on the Atlanta ACG Board. Additionally, he is an Elder at Peachtree Presbyterian Church. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Georgia, and resides in Atlanta
Neal Mulford serves White Oak Commercial Finance’s Lender Finance business as Head of Underwriting and Portfolio Management. Prior to joining White Oak, Neal was most recently the Underwriting Team Lead for AloStar Capital Finance, a provider of senior debt for middle market Asset Based and Lender Finance Clients with financing needs between $5 million and $50 million. AloStar committed over $3 billion to over 200 clients from its inception in 2011 through 2019 with historical average charge offs and portfolio risk migration that exceeded the original business plan. Neal has 30+ years of experience in the finance industry, including structuring ABL, Cash Flow and Mezzanine transactions. His broad experience enables him to understand and evaluate all tranches of the capital stack which has led to more meaningful discussions and negotiations with all stakeholders. While at AloStar, Neal built a team of six professionals that analyzed, structured and priced transactions. At peak performance this group processed a sufficient flow of transactions that allowed the platform to close between 25 and 30 new transaction per year. During his career, Neal has held positions in Underwriting, Portfolio Management, New Business Development and Field Exams for Lenders including AloStar, CIT, Regions Bank and Heller Financial. In addition, he has worked for the predecessor CPA firm to McGladrey and a private specialty chemical company where he served in accounting and mergers & acquisitions. Neal serves/has served in various roles for his community and church including Leadership Sandy Springs, Board Member for Dunwoody Homeowners Association, Finance Committee and Committee of 100 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, Habitat for Humanity and project leader for Great Day of Service. In addition, he coached 10 years of travel softball.
Mr. Davies has served White Oak U.K. as Director of Sales since 2018, having previously held the same position at leading U.K.-based business finance providers, LDF Group since 2002. LDF Group, who were acquired by White Oak Global Advisors in July 2018, provided over £500 million in business funding to smaller U.K. businesses in 2017. Within this role, Mr. Davies has responsibility for the overall Sales function, alongside overseeing the development of new products and initiatives for revenue generation. Prior to this, Mr. Davies has held other senior sales management positions at LDF Group, primarily focused on sales origination.
Mr. Heeley has served White Oak U.K. as Director of Credit since 2018, having previously held the same position at leading U.K.-based business finance providers, LDF Group since 1999. LDF Group, who were acquired by White Oak Global Advisors in July 2018, provided over £500 million in business funding to smaller U.K. businesses in 2017. Within this role, Mr. Heeley has responsibility for the end-to-end credit function, including setting the Own Book lending policy, managing the own book lending portfolio and overseeing external funder relationships. Prior to this, Mr. Heeley has held other senior positions at LDF Group, primarily within the Credit Risk function. Mr. Heeley holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University.
Mr. Bethel is a Senior Advisor to White Oak Merchant Partners. Prior to joining White Oak, he represented the United States as Ambassador Designate to the Republic of Panama. He was confirmed unanimously by the Senate to serve on the Board of Directors of the World Bank, the largest developing finance institution in the world. The World Bank’s goal is to reduce poverty and build shared prosperity in developing countries through grants, loans, insurance, and equity investments. As World Bank Director, Mr. Bethel voted on over $100 billion in funding and promoted a number of initiatives including spearheading the use of new technologies and streamlining World Bank operations. Prior to being nominated to serve at the World Bank, Mr. Bethel was a Managing Director at Franklin Templeton Investments where he executed private equity transactions. Prior to this, he was based in Shanghai, China as Managing Partner of Sino Latin Capital and Managing Director of China Vest. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bethel held a variety of private equity and investment banking positions at J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley & Co. in both New York and Mexico City. His civic contributions include service on the Board of Governors of Opportunity International, a non-profit organization that provides financial services to people living in poverty in developing countries. Earlier in his career Mr. Bethel served as a U.S. Naval Officer. Mr. Bethel is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, where he was an Olmsted Scholar, a Cox Fund Scholar and a Battalion Commander. He earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Milken Scholar. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin.
Mr. Pereira serves White Oak as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for White Oak ABL with primary responsibility for delivering the full suite of White Oak products to the Australasian client base. Prior to White Oak he was founder and Executive Chairman of Recon Finance Corporation, a specialist Asset Receivable finance company with specific focus on the Australian SME sector. Mr. Pereira has over 25 years of investment banking experience heading up capital market businesses for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and Royal Bank of Scotland in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore and London. With a primary focus on leading a broad range of clients (including Telstra, BHP, Origin Energy, Woodside Petroleum, Qantas, CBA, Westpac and ANZ), he was successful in raising debt capital in different markets and environments. Mr. Pereira has been involved and responsible for successfully raising several billion dollars of debt for both Investment Grade and Sub Investment Grade companies via the traditional liquid and illiquid (private) capital markets. Mr. Pereira holds a B. S. in Neuroscience with honors from the University of Melbourne.
Mr. Boom is Head of Structured Finance at White Oak ABL. His previous leadership positions in international financial services include Head of North America Global Banking for Industrials at Standard Chartered Bank and Managing Director TMT Corporate & Investment Banking at J.P.Morgan. During his 16 years at Citigroup he served as Head Public Sector Banking EMEA in London, Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for the Netherlands, Belgium & Luxembourg and Senior Banker Media & Telecoms in New York and Amsterdam. Most recently, Mr. Boom was Region Head Americas at Greensill Capital. He started his career at MeesPierson/ABNAMRO in Media & Telecoms Project Finance in London and Amsterdam.
Mr. Boom holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and successfully completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Boom is FINRA licensed Series 24, 7 & 63.
Mr. Goldsmith serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Director of Underwriting, with primary responsibility for assessing the credit worthiness of wholesale and retail businesses. Previously Mr. Goldsmith served at Heller Financial, where he focused on underwriting credit for wholesale and retail accounts. Mr. Goldsmith received a B.S. in Finance from Northeastern Illinois University.
Mr. Szafranski is a Vice President of Underwriting for White Oak, with primary responsibility for underwriting and servicing portfolio investments for White Oak’s private debt funds. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Szafranski served as an Associate at Bank of Montreal in its Sponsored Finance Group, where he focused on structuring, executing, and managing debt investments in middle market companies owned by private equity sponsors. Prior to BMO, Mr. Szafranski began his career as an Associate at PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Mr. Szafranski received a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Szteinberg serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Vice President of Underwriting with a focus on client field examinations. Previously, he worked at GMAC Commercial Finance as the regional field examination manager. Mr. Szteinberg received a B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College.
Mr. Cafarella is a Director for White Oak Healthcare Partners, LLC, with primary responsibility for underwriting debt products for the seniors housing and long term care sectors, with a focus on FHA/HUD. He joined White Oak in 2020 and brings 11+ years of experience underwriting and structuring financing solutions for healthcare real estate owners and operators. Prior to White Oak, Mr. Cafarella spent 10 years at Lancaster Pollard in progressive underwriting roles, including helping Lancaster Pollard start and significantly grow its balance sheet lending platform. Mr. Cafarella started his career at the public accounting firm Plante Moran, providing audit and accounting services to wide variety of health care companies and was previously a licensed CPA (currently inactive) and also held FINRA Series 52 and 79 licenses. Mr. Cafarella received his Bachelors of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics Management.
Ms. Novak serves White Oak as a Senior Vice President in Underwriting within the Healthcare Group. Prior to joining White Oak, she worked at Capital One and GE Capital for the last five years specializing in Healthcare Real Estate and also completed GE Capital’s two year rotational Risk Management Program. Ms. Novak received a B.A. in Management with concentrations in Finance and Mathematics from Boston College.
Christopher Essen serves as a Vice President at White Oak Healthcare Finance (“WOHCF”). His primary role with WOHCF is underwriting and portfolio management of all Healthcare asset types. He also focuses on acquisitions and closing of new medical office building investment opportunities. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Essen had 15 years of real estate lending and transaction experience working with companies including Wintrust, GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services and Capital One. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Mr. Hyams serves White Oak as a Managing Director of White Oak Healthcare Finance, with primary responsibility for underwriting and portfolio management. Mr. Hyams is an experienced finance professional dealing exclusively with the healthcare industry for over 24 years. He previously served as a co-founder of Healthcare Finance Group (“HFG”) in 2000, assuming the role of Chief Credit Officer, while also serving as a member of the Board of Directors. The company grew substantially over the next 13 years, reaching total lending commitments of nearly a billion dollars while maintaining a record of no credit losses. At HFG, Mr. Hyams was responsible for all facets of both asset based and cash flow loans, including direct management of all workouts and bankruptcies. He managed both the portfolio management and due diligence groups and also played a key role in the development of the proprietary healthcare receivable tracking system used to manage client loans at HFG. Prior to HFG, Mr. Hyams held due diligence and account management roles at CIT’s Factoring Group and completed the formal bank credit training program at Manufacturers Hanover Trust. Mr. Hyams also served as a vice president at Daiwa Securities America and was instrumental in helping to build that firm’s healthcare finance business. Mr. Hyams holds a B.S. from State University of New York at Binghamton.
Mr. Norman serves White Oak Commercial Finance as Director of Underwriting in ABL and Factoring, primarily responsible for underwriting new and existing WOCF portfolio loans. Mr. Norman has over 15 years of experience in the commercial lending space. Previously, he worked for over a decade as an owner-operator of staffing companies. Mr. Norman has an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S. from California State University-Northridge.
Elliot Kaple serves as Managing Director for White Oak Healthcare Partners. Since 2015 Mr. Kaple has been responsible for financial analysis and credit evaluations in the senior living and healthcare sectors. His expertise ranges from tax exempt bond transactions to FHA insured mortgages for refinances, new construction, acquisition and rehabilitation projects; totaling more than $1.5 billion of debt transactions that have closed. Prior to joining White Oak Healthcare Partners, Mr. Kaple served as a LEAN approved underwriter/underwriter trainee on over 50 FHA 232-program insured mortgages as well numerous FNMA and USDA financed senior living projects. Mr. Kaple received his Bachelors of Economic Management from Ohio Wesleyan University and holds an Investment Banking Representative Series 79 and Municipal Securities Representative Series 52 licensure.
Ms. Koegel serves White Oak as an Assistant Vice President specializing in healthcare real estate underwriting. Prior to joining White Oak, she worked at Quantitative Risk Management as a financial risk management consultant. Ms. Koegel received a BBA in Finance and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame, and she is currently completing her MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Mr. Schwartz serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Managing Director of Underwriting in ABL and Factoring, responsible for underwriting and servicing WOCF ABL portfolio loans. He has over 20 years of experience in the commercial finance industry having held positions in business development, underwriting, portfolio management and special assets. Prior to joining WOCF, Mr. Schwartz served a Belgian bank providing asset based loans to the U.S. diamond and jewelry industry. He has also worked for GMAC Commercial Finance, BNY Financial Corp. and Congress Financial Corp. in both factoring and asset based lending capacities. Mr. Schwartz is the President of the Commercial Finance League, past President and current Board member of the 475 Esquire Toppers business networking group and an active member of the Commercial Finance Association. Mr. Schwartz holds a B.A. from Vassar College where he majored in Political Science and minored in Economics.
Mr. Slauson serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as a Senior Vice President Team Leader focused on the underwriting and portfolio management of cash flow loans to healthcare companies. Prior to joining White Oak in 2021, he spent five years with Wells Fargo Capital Finance as a Senior Vice President leading a team managing a $1B portfolio of asset backed loans to healthcare companies. Mr. Slauson spent the first 9 years of his career with GE Capital in underwriting and portfolio management roles focused on senior secured lending in healthcare real estate and healthcare corporate finance. Mr. Slauson holds a B.A. in Economics from Washington & Lee University.
Ms. Vuong joins White Oak Global Advisors, LLC as a Senior Associate within Underwriting. Ms. Vuong previously worked as an Analyst for Oak Hill Advisors. She previously held roles at KAUST Investment Management Company and Dodge & Cox. She earned her MBA from the Yale School of Management and her B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Statistics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Jack Sims serves as a Director for White Oak Healthcare Partners specializing in senior living and healthcare underwriting. Prior to joining White Oak, he held a similar position at a sector leading agency lending platform focusing on Fannie Mae and FHA insured mortgages. Prior to entering the healthcare space, he spent over five years in investment banking and valuation services. Mr. Sims received his BBA from The Ohio State University.
Mr. Schapiro is a Vice President of Underwriting for White Oak ABL with primary responsibility for underwriting and servicing portfolio investments for White Oak’s private debt funds. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Schapiro served at Hamilton Lane, where he focused on the evaluation and due diligence of direct credit investment opportunities on behalf of the firm’s SMAs and dedicated commingled vehicles. Mr. Schapiro began his career at Citigroup Global Markets. He received a B.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Mr. Yates serves the White Oak ABL team as a Senior Associate. Previously, he served as a strategic consultant at General Electric, working across various industries in more than a dozen countries. His prior experience includes work in Sales & Trading at Wells Fargo. Mr. Yates received a B.S in Finance from Wake Forest University.
Mr. Felton serves White Oak U.K. as Head of Corporate Development, responsible for the structuring and execution of complex asset based lending transactions across the U.K. and Europe. Mr. Felton is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in England and Wales. Prior to joining White Oak Mr. Felton acted as a financial services specialist for over six years at KPMG U.K. in roles across Corporate Finance M&A, Deal Advisory and Audit.
Mr. Putt serves as Vice President for White Oak Healthcare Finance. Mr. Putt’s primary roles include lead underwriter for the group’s ABL vertical, overseeing underwriting and portfolio management functions and responsibilities across multiple healthcare industries. Mr. Putt brings over 20 years of progressive healthcare experience, including multiple senior roles in workout and restructuring, portfolio management and audit with Capital One Healthcare and GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services. Mr. Putt received an M.B.A. and M.S. in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Finance/Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Jeffrey Habicht serves White Oak as Director of Underwriting. He previously served Origami Capital Partners, Neuberger Berman Group’s Distressed Debt Team, and Piper Jaffray & Co. in its Healthcare Investment Banking Division. Mr. Habicht received a B.B.A. with distinction in Finance, Investments and Banking from the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Mr. Livi serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as a Senior Analyst. He assists in the process of underwriting deals and portfolio management. Mr. Livi received his B.A in Finance from the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University.
John Brussard serves White Oak as an Assistant Vice President of White Oak Healthcare REIT, with primary responsibilities of sourcing and underwriting investment opportunities in the seniors housing real estate market. Previously, he was a member of the Capital Healthcare Investments, LLC (“CHI”) group that acquired and managed a $300MM portfolio of assets at the time of sale of CHI’s parent company, a publicly traded REIT. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP as a Certified Public Accountant. John graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with a B.S., concentrations in Finance and Accounting, and a B.A. in Economics. Mr. Brussard is a CFA charterholder.
Ms. Moloney serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as an Associate. Prior to joining White Oak, she worked for Victura Consulting, LLC doing financial consulting specializing in federal government contracts. Ms. Moloney earned her B.S.B. from DePaul University in 2018.
Mr. Cox serves White Oak as Managing Director of Underwriting, with primary responsibility for structuring and underwriting new investment opportunities for White Oak’s private debt fund. He joined White Oak in May 2021. Mr. Cox has 20 years of asset-based lending and commercial finance experience, having served in various originations, relationship management, and underwriting roles throughout his career. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Cox was Managing Director and Western Region ABL Underwriting Manager at Wells Fargo Capital Finance, managing a team of underwriters focused on delivering financing solutions to middle-market and mid-corporate sponsor-backed, public, or privately owned companies across North America. During his tenure at Wells Fargo, Mr. Cox was also a senior relationship manager in the Syndicated Finance division and a business development officer with Wells Fargo Business Credit. He also previously served as a Vice President, relationship manager, in Bridge Bank’s Capital Finance lending group and as Vice President, underwriter, in Bay View Bank’s factoring division. He received a B.A. in political science from Harding University. Over the years he has been active in the CFA/SFNet, ACG, and TMA.
Mr. Trujillo serves White Oak as a Senior Vice President specializing in healthcare real estate underwriting. He previously served Capital One Healthcare and GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services in similar capacities. Mr. Trujillo received a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Ms. Franklin serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Vice President of Underwriting in ABL and Factoring with a primary responsibility underwriting and servicing WOCF portfolio loans. Previously, she worked at GMAC Commercial Finance as a Team Leader in Client Accounting. Ms. Franklin received a B.S. in Finance from Seton Hall University.
MJ Bhuller serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as an Assistant Vice President. Mr. Bhuller focuses on underwriting new credit investment opportunities across capital structure within all sectors of Healthcare as well as portfolio management of existing assets. He previously worked as an Associate at J.P. Morgan in Healthcare Investment Banking coverage where he worked on M&A, equity and debt transactions. Prior to that, he was a Management Consultant at Accenture within its Strategy practice. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and B.S. in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine.
Mrs. Springuel serves White Oak Equipment Finance as a Director of Underwriting, primarily responsible for underwriting and servicing new and existing portfolio leases and loans. She has over 20 years of experience in credit and risk management in the equipment leasing and leveraged finance fields. Prior to joining White Oak, Mrs. Springuel served as a Vice President of Credit at the large ticket equipment finance group at CIT Bank. Her previous roles include Director of Credit at NXT Capital, Vice President of Underwriting at GE Capital and at Merrill Lynch Capital. She received a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from University of Illinois, Chicago.
Michael Treiber serves White Oak as Managing Director, White Oak Healthcare Finance, with primary responsibility for sourcing and underwriting seniors housing and skilled nursing investments for White Oak Healthcare REIT, LLC. He was previously a Co-Founder at Capital Healthcare Investments, LLC where he helped build a $300 million portfolio of owned NNN-Lease and Joint Venture Healthcare Real Estate assets over the span of 2 years. Prior to that he was a Senior Vice President at GE Capital, where he underwrote and managed equity and debt healthcare investments for over a decade. Mr. Treiber has over 18 years of healthcare real estate investment experience. Mr. Treiber holds an B.B.A from James Madison University and an M.B.A from Georgetown University.
Mr. Beckett serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as a Vice President Team Leader with primary responsibility for underwriting and portfolio management. Mr. Beckett has over 18 years of experience in originating, underwriting and managing middle market debt and equity investments. Prior to joining White Oak, Mr. Beckett served as a Director at The Gladstone Companies and as an analyst in the Sponsorship and Underwriting group at MCG Capital Corporation. Mr. Beckett received an M.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University. Mr. Beckett is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Tsung serves White Oak Health Care Finance as an Associate based in the Chicago office. Nathan previously worked for Capital One, specializing in healthcare real estate. Nathan earned his BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan in 2016.
Mr. Islam is a Vice President of Underwriting at White Oak. Previously, he served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Duff & Phelps Securities, LLC. Mr. Islam received a B.A. in Political Economics, and a certificate in Markets and Management Studies from Duke University in 2016. He holds the Series 62, 63 and 79.
Paul Nevala serves White Oak as Managing Director, White Oak Healthcare Finance, with primary responsibility for sourcing and underwriting seniors housing and skilled nursing investments for White Oak Healthcare REIT, LLC. He was previously a Co-Founder at Capital Healthcare Investments, LLC, where he helped build a $300 million portfolio of owned triple-net lease and joint venture healthcare real estate assets over the span of 2 years. Prior to that he was a Senior Vice President at GE Capital. As a member of the Investment Research Group at GE Capital, Paul covered the long term care sector and provided insight and outlook on reimbursement, regulatory, and other issues affecting debt and equity transactions in the sector. Paul began his career as a nursing facility administrator with National HealthCare Corporation and has over 20 years of healthcare experience. Mr. Nevala holds a BBA in Long Term Care Administration and Accounting from Southern College and a MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Neal is a Director of Underwriting for White Oak ABL with primary responsibility for underwriting and servicing portfolio investments for White Oak’s private debt funds. He previously served at Lampert Debt Advisors, a boutique investment bank where he focused on evaluating, structuring and executing middle market debt financing transactions and began his career at Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Mr. Neal received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Kansas State University.
Mr. Chabbewal is a Vice President of Underwriting for White Oak and is responsible for assisting in the underwriting and servicing portfolio investments for White Oak’s private debt funds. Mr. Chabbewal joined White Oak in August of 2012. Previously, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at Moelis & Company, where he focused on executing M&A, equity and debt transactions across a variety of sectors. Mr. Chabbewal received his B.S. in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University of Bloomington.
Mr. Dickey is an experienced credit underwriter, who has been involved in the FHA/HUD origination and underwriting business for over 15 years. Prior to joining White Oak Healthcare Finance, Mr. Dickey was a senior underwriter within the Lancaster Pollard affiliate of ORIX Real Estate Capital where he most recently served as Deputy Chief Underwriter. In addition to his role as Deputy Chief Underwriter, he served as a member of the firm’s credit committee, and as the firm’s primary underwriter for FHA 242 (hospital) transactions, USDA CF transactions, and municipal bond underwritings. Mr. Dickey has focused his efforts on the analysis, underwriting, and execution of senior living and healthcare transactions across a broad range of rehabilitations, acquisitions, new construction, refinances. He has a thorough understanding of both conventional and federal financing structures for both taxable and tax-exempt borrowers, including the FHA/HUD, and USDA loan programs. He has worked on over 250 transactions totaling in excess of $4 billion. He is considered an expert on the FHA healthcare programs and worked extensively with FHA leadership on policy and underwriting issues, including the issuance of the current FHA 232 and 242 guidelines. Mr. Dickey earned his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and graduated with honors from Georgia Tech. He holds General Securities Representative licenses, Series 7 and Series 63, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter.
Mr. Buck serves White Oak as Managing Director of Underwriting, with primary responsibility for underwriting new investment opportunities for White Oak’s private debt fund. Mr. Buck has nearly 30 years of credit, investment management, special situations investing, and private lending experience. Previously, Mr. Buck was a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Corsair Partners, LLC, a manager of several special situations and direct lending funds. He also served as a Vice President in Chase Manhattan Banks middle market leveraged lending group and its corporate loan restructuring department. He received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Finance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Mr. Power serves White Oak Commercial Finance as an Underwriting Associate. He previously served at Berkeley Research Group as a summer associate in the Valuation group. Mr. Power received B.B.A. from the University of Miami, majoring in Economics with dual minors in Finance and International Business.
Mrs. Raybon joins White Oak Commercial Finance as a Director of Underwriting. Mrs. Raybon has eleven years of experience working on asset-based and cash flow loans. Prior to joining White Oak, Mrs. Raybon was a Director at Wells Fargo Capital Finance focused on delivering financing solutions to middle-market and mid-corporate sponsor-backed, public, or privately owned companies across North America. After graduating from Wells Fargo’s Credit Management Training Program, Mrs. Raybon worked in syndicated finance. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Capital Finance, she worked in commercial banking. Mrs. Raybon graduated from Wofford College with a B.A. in Finance.
Mr. Hickey serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as an Vice President. He previously helped establish a Sponsor Healthcare vertical at Webster Bank. Prior to that, he worked at Antares Capital L.P. and GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services providing debt financing and investing equity in leveraged buyout transactions. Mr. Hickey received a B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Economics and Romance Languages.
Ms. Harvey, Managing Director, WOHCP is responsible for the oversight of loan servicing and asset management for the White Oak Healthcare Partners, LLC FHA team. Prior to joining White Oak Ms. Harvey was the Director of Mortgage Servicing at Lancaster Pollard Mortgage Company where she grew with the company from 2001 to 2018. Ms. Harvey was directly responsible for growth and oversight of loan servicing operations that included a variety of product types: FHA, Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, USDA, and balance sheet loans. Responsibilities included investor accounting, investor reporting, tax and insurance escrow administration and client relationships. Ms. Harvey’s strengths are in the Ginnie Mae, FHA Multifamily, FHA 232, and FHA 242 programs, including construction lending in each asset class. She has worked extensively with industry peers, Ginnie Mae and FHA leadership on policy and loan servicing issues. Since 2003 and as chair in 2014, Ms. Harvey serves as a member on the Mortgage Bankers Association FHA Servicers Subcommittee. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Ohio State University.
Shernel Jean-Pierre serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Senior Analyst in Credit Services with primary responsibility for assessing the credit worthiness of wholesale and retail businesses. Ms. Jean-Pierre received a B.S in Business Administration and Marketing from Long Island University, where she graduated with honors.
Mr. Hui serves White Oak Global Advisors, LLC as a Senior Associate on the Underwriting Team. Prior to joining White Oak, Spencer was an Associate at THL Credit, the credit affiliate of Thomas H. Lee Partners. As a member of the investment team, Spencer was responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities, executing transitions and managing portfolio investments. Prior to THL Credit, Spencer worked at Colony Capital and Credit Suisse specializing in debt and equity transactions covering a variety of sectors. Spencer earned his B.A. in Economics with a minor in Film, Television and Digital Media from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Redlich serves White Oak as Vice President, White Oak Healthcare Finance. He previously served at CNH Finance, Midcap Financial, Novogradac & Company and Ernst & Young. Mr. Redlich’s expertise is in underwriting senior secured loans across multiple industries. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Derenze serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Senior Analyst in credit services with primary responsibility for assessing the credit worthiness of wholesale and retail businesses. Ms. Derenze has been with the company for almost 20 years, and has held numerous positions within credit services. Ms. Derenze received an A.S. in Finance from LaGuardia College.
Ms. Chan serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Vice President of Underwriting in ABL and Factoring with primary responsibility managing Trade Finance transactions and servicing WOCF portfolio clients. Ms. Chan has over ten years of experience in trade finance and underwriting services. She is fluent in both English and Cantonese. Ms. Chan holds a B.B.A in Finance from Baruch College.
Tracy Wait serves as Director of syndicated credit at White Oak Healthcare Partners. Ms. Wait works with the firm’s efforts to partner with banks and provide additional options to White Oak’s regional bankers for the structuring and sale of debt placements, and participations with White Oak’s balance sheet. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Wait served on the syndications team at ORIX Real Estate Capital. Prior to being at ORIX, Ms. Wait had more than 13 years of commercial banking experience in seniors housing, commercial real estate and middle market banking and 5 years in public accounting. Ms. Wait holds a BS in Accounting from Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ms. Shih serves as an Assistant Vice President for White Oak Trade Finance and is responsible for assisting in the underwriting, execution and monitoring of portfolio investments. Prior to White Oak Trade Finance, Ms. Shih served as a Senior Analyst for Prudential Private Capital, where she helped originate, execute, and manage privately placed debt, mezzanine, and equity investments in the Western United States. Ms. Shih received a B.A in Public Health and B.S in Business Administration from the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business.
Mr. Coyle serves White Oak Commercial Finance as a Director of Underwriting, with primary responsibility for assessing the credit worthiness of wholesale and retail businesses. Prior to joining White Oak, he served at Liz Claiborne Inc. in the credit department as a Senior Credit Analyst. Mr. Coyle received a B.S. from St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Mr. Xu serves White Oak Healthcare Finance as a Senior Analyst. His primary responsibilities include supporting senior team members in both monitoring portfolio loans and underwriting new transactions. Prior to joining full time, Mr. Xu interned with White Oak Healthcare Finance in 2019. Mr. Xu received a B.S. in Statistics and B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
