Michael Szwajkowski

Michael Szwajkowski is the President of White Oak Lender Finance, a specialized business focused on providing non-depository lenders, credit funds and aggregators of financial assets with senior debt, forward flow facilities and other creative capital solutions.In this capacity, Mr. Szwajkowski is responsible for strategy, originations and the overall management of the business.
 
Previously, he was the Co-Founder and President of Sector Financial Inc., a specialty finance firm which provides financing solutions to middle market companies operating in the Lender Finance, Healthcare and Technology & Security markets (2017 –2020). Prior to founding Sector, he served as Executive Vice President and Co-Head of Capital One Bank’s Commercial & Specialty Finance business (2011 –2016). In this capacity, Mr. Szwajkowski was responsible for leading multiple specialty finance businesses including consumer and commercial Lender Finance, Healthcare, Equipment, Asset-Based Financeand several other niche finance businesses. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Szwajkowski was a founding management member of CapitalSource Inc., a commercial finance company that grew to approximately $20 billion in assets and 800 employees across 23 offices in the United States and Europe(2000 –2011). Mr. Szwajkowski spent a decade serving in a variety of senior management positions at CapitalSource including as the President of the Structured Finance Business (Lender Finance and Commercial Real Estate) and the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Szwajkowski was a Founder, Director and President of Clarity Holdings, Inc., a New York-based bank holding company, which acquired and operated a Texas-based national bank (Clarity Bank). Under his leadership, the assets of Clarity increased from ~$20 million at acquisition to in excess of $400 million prior to the sale of the bank. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Szwajkowski served as a Director in the Principal Transactions Group within the Fixed Income division of Credit Suisse First Boston where he focused on debt and equity investments acrossthe structured finance markets as well as certain investment banking activities. During his tenure, the newly-formed Esoteric Assets Group expanded to a multi-billion dollar portfolio and included exposure to the healthcare, consumer rediscount, equipment, vacation ownership, real estate and asset-based markets. Previously, Mr. Szwajkowski was a Vice President at Heller Financial, Inc. from 1991 to 1996, a Consultant at Deloitte & Touche from 1990 to 1991 and an Associate at AMLI Realty Co from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Szwajkowski holds a BA from Bowdoin College and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
